Every year, the WSCS 7th and 8th grade orchestra students put on a “Giving Bach” concert. It’s a rewarding experience for students, and it allows them the chance to get out into the community and share their gifts as well as show Christ’s love to others. Earlier this month, we held our annual concert at the Community Transition Campus, a campus for young adults ages 18-26 with disabilities. Our students performed a few numbers (including one by Bach, of course!) and spent time meeting with Community Transition Campus students and teaching them to play the D-String Blues.
A big thank you to the students at the Community Transition Campus for spending this special morning with us! We enjoyed meeting with you and playing the blues together. A few of the Community Transition Campus students shared their thoughts with us afterwards:
“We had a nice time for Orchestra”– Marty
“I so so love music. Very very fun. That’s cool.” – Danielle
“It was fun. They were good at playing music.” – Aaron

If you’d like to hear our 7th & 8th grade orchestra students perform, be sure to attend our Fine Arts Open House on April 30!
