An Kurosu, Head of School

Last week, our nation was shaken again by crimes against its people. Please take a moment to read and pray to our Lord and Savior as we continue our journey to the cross.

Loving Father,

We come to you today with heavy hearts as we think about our Asian brothers and sisters. Precious lives made in Your image have been senselessly taken. This community is hurting, and we grieve alongside those who have lost loved ones. We lament the fear and pain gripping the Asian community, and we stand in solidarity with our fellow brothers and sisters in Christ.
Forgive us, Lord, for the times we have turned away from You and not stood up for the marginalized and hurting. We know that all human life is sacred. Help us be agents of healing by speaking out against injustice, pursuing unity, and showing Christ’s love to all people.

We recognize we have the responsibility and privilege of shaping the hearts and minds of our children. We pray we can teach them to follow in Jesus’ footsteps—to comfort those who mourn, fight injustice and racism, and seek reconciliation where there is brokenness.

Draw near to us Lord as we lay our burdens at the feet of the cross. Fill us with your Spirit as we continue to do your work and follow your commandment to love one another. Because of your love and your sacrifice on the cross, we have hope.

We pray for peace and healing for our world and especially those grieving now. Lord, hear our prayer.

In Your Name, Amen.
