As a starting point for thinking about memoir writing in English class, our 7th grade students were asked to write six words reflecting their lives right now. In the midst of a life that is currently mixed with uncertainty, fear, friendship, and hope, these students reflected life as they know it. Their words are honest and real and allow us a glimpse into their world. Pictures were added to give further meaning to their 6-word memoirs.
