WSCS Foundation

The WSCS Foundation

The WSCS Foundation -

  • Was established in 1979
  • Exists to receive and administer funds for educational purposes and to hold those funds in trust
  • Uses both the interest and the earnings to make grants directly to WSCS
  • Currently provides $400 per student per year, with a goal of providing $500 annually towards each student's yearly tuition
  • Has current assets of $2.6 million
  • Is directed by the Board of Trustees comprised of nine elected members, including the principal of WSCS who serves as a liaison between the Foundation and the school
  • Meets twice yearly to review holdings and make recommended changes to the portfolio

One of the functions of the Foundation is to assist members of the WSCS community with estate planning through the Barnabas Foundation. Estate planning is provided free of charge to WSCS constituents interested in designating a portion of the estate to WSCS.
