Welcome to an exciting adventure at West Side's Summer Camps!
Immerse your child in the wonders of the natural world and develop their God-given gifts through our engaging programs designed by WSCS Staff and community members!
Our camps provide a unique opportunity for young explorers to connect with nature, discover new talents, and participate in hands-on activities that spark curiosity and creativity.
With experienced educators guiding the way, your child will embark on a journey of discovery, making friends and memories that will last a lifetime. Let the summer adventures begin!
Summer Camp Details

Camps designed for incoming K-6th grade

9am-11 :30am or 12:30-3:00pm Camp Sessions

Lunch Bunch Option ($20 for the week. Option is for campers taking a morning and afternoon session.)

Max class size: 15 students (30 if camp has two lead teachers}

Minimum class size 8 students: if less than 8 the camp will not run and signup will be refunded.

Have you ever wanted to build a playhouse or backyard fort? This camp will give you inspiration and know-how. In the process, you’ll take your woodworking skills to the next level - literally. Ingenuity, craftsmanship, technology, and creativity come together and will produce an unforgettable result.

Wild about wildlife, and ready to flex your “creature powers” like a Wild Kratt? Join us on the creature trail as we explore creature behaviors and the way scientists study them! This camp is full of animal action and adventure, we’ll have real-life zoo keepers and scientists come visit, and we’ll end our time together with a great big trip to John Ball Zoo!

With hands-on guidance from our expert instructor, campers will master fundamental engineering concepts and coding skills while fostering teamwork and collaboration.

Each afternoon will be a new natural adventure and inspire your child with ways they can play (as they naturally learn) outside this summer!

We'll even go beyond the kitchen and whip up a soothing bug bite salve using our botanical discoveries. This hands-on class is packed with fun activities and exploration, all while teaching valuable skills and appreciation for the wonders of nature.
